A single case study from 2012, published by Blushield USA.
What is live blood cell analysis?
Live blood cell analysis (sometimes called live blood analysis or dark-field microscopy) looks at a drop of fresh blood under a high-powered microscope. The practitioner watches the cells in real time and notes their shape, how they move, and whether they clump together.
It's used by some naturopaths and natural health practitioners. It isn't used for diagnosis in mainstream medicine, and what the images mean is open to interpretation. That's why we treat these results as an observation, not as evidence.
The case study
| Detail | |
|---|---|
| Subject | One man in his mid-thirties |
| Environment | High EMF exposure. He worked close to computers and electrical equipment all day. |
| Lifestyle | Described as a poor diet with no regular exercise. No changes were made during the test period. |
| Devices | A Blushield Portable carried at all times, and a Blushield plug-in home unit running 24/7 |
| Test period | 11 January to 14 March 2012 (about 2 months) |
What the tester observed
Before Blushield
- Red blood cells were clumped together and irregular in shape.
- Some red cell membranes appeared weak and were breaking down ("ghosting").
- The tester noted crystallisation and other particles in the sample.
- The tester commented on signs they associated with inflammation and oxidation.
After 2 months with Blushield
- Red cells were more regular in shape and more evenly spread.
- Cell membranes appeared stronger.
- The crystallisation seen earlier was no longer present.
- Lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell) dropped from 25 to 15.
The subject had a cold at the time of the second test, which may have affected the results.
Where to find more evidence
The Blushield Pilot Study followed 25 adults for 12 weeks, using laboratory blood panels, wearable sleep and HRV tracking, cognitive testing and DNA analysis.
