The World Health Organization classifies radiofrequency electromagnetic fields as "possibly carcinogenic to humans" (IARC Group 2B, 2011). We already manage the air we breathe and the water we drink. Our Story
Blushield began with one person's observation. In the late 1980s in New Zealand, Mark Langdon worked alongside an engineer who was experimenting with electromagnetic fields. Mark found he could detect subtle changes in those fields that others could not.
That observation became a lifelong question. If electromagnetic environments influence how the body functions, what happens as they become more complex?
In the mid-1990s Mark founded his first company, Bioshield. Wireless infrastructure was still limited then. Over the next decade that changed. Wi-Fi spread globally, mobile phones became universal and wireless signals became constant.
In 2010 Mark founded Blushield to engineer a response. Four years later, a refinement to the microprocessor algorithms moved the devices from simple pulsed signals to a dynamic, non-repeating field based on mathematical patterns found in nature.
In 2024 Blushield was evaluated in a peer-reviewed human pilot study. Participants used the devices in their own homes for 12 weeks while living normally with everyday technology (D'Adamo et al, 2024, PMID 39355415).
